Investigator and Polygraph Examiner

Ed has over 42 years of law enforcement experience, working at the local, state, and federal levels.

 

Ed served three years active duty in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer, attached to the Intelligence & Security Command (INSCOM), Field Station Berlin, during the Cold War Era.  At that time, West Berlin was 110 miles behind the infamous “Iron Curtain,” as the city was physically surrounded by both East German (GDR) and Russian military troops.  Ed rose to the rank of Sergeant and received an Honorable Discharge when he left active duty.

 

Ed worked twenty-six years with the Gwinnett County Police Department.During those years, Ed worked in the Uniform Division and Criminal Investigations Division.Ed also worked in the Professional Standards Unit as an Investigator in both the Background and Internal Affairs Units.During his career at Gwinnett, Ed supervised the Eastside Precinct’s Community Response Team and the Auto Theft Unit.Ed retired as a Sergeant in 2008.

 

After retiring from Gwinnett Police Department, Ed went to work as a criminal investigator for the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS), supervising the north district investigators.Ed retired from DDS in 2021, with thirteen years of service.

 

Ed has over twenty-five years of experience as a polygraph examiner, conducting both specific issue examinations and law enforcement pre-employment exams for a multitude of metro Atlanta law enforcement agencies

Chris Byers

Chris served for twenty-five years in law enforcement in the metro Atlanta area.  Chris served in multiple divisions within the agencies.  In 2008, he was hired to assist in starting the Johns Creek Police Department in the newly established city.  He rose through the ranks, ultimately becoming the city’s second Police Chief.

 

Chris is a graduate from Liberty University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice.  He then went on to Police Command School at Northwestern University.  Chris was selected with a handful of other Georgia Law Enforcement Officers to travel to Israel to train with the Israeli Police Force in 2018 in matters of terrorism response and urban tactical situations. 

 

Chris graduated from the American International Institute of polygraph and was his agencies polygraph division commander.  During his time as a police polygrapher, he conducted countless criminal polygraphs and pre-employment tests. He is a regular guest on Nancy Grace and Court TV as a use of force and investigative expert.

Susan Lancaster

Susan grew up in Gwinnett County in Snellville, Georgia. She is a true native of Gwinnett County and her parents also grew up in Gwinnett County.  Susan attended South Gwinnett High School.  After graduating high school, she began working for Gwinnett County as an office manager and later was an administrative secretary for Gwinnett County Planning and Zoning.  In 1983 she went to work for the Georgia State Patrol in communications and driver services where she worked for over 8 years.  In 1991 she trained and was certified as a licensed private detective.  She was co-owner and office manager of Lancaster Information Services, Inc. for 32 years.  As an investigator she specialized in due diligence, background investigations, attorney services and locating witnesses, victims and defendants in criminal and civil procedures.  She has hundreds of hours of training in the field of private investigations​.
